This has probably been asked before...

I have the usual insulation treatment in my basement, e.g ceiling insulated with kraft side up against the subfloor, held in place by insulation supports. I have no plans to drywall the joists and the low headroom doesn't lend itself to a suspended ceiling. I really hate the exposed insulation and want to cover it. Obviously can't put poly over it though that would really solve the issue. Fiberglass mesh screening might be possible but would make the ceiling dark. I've heard that Tyvek may be a viable option. Suggestions?

Havent done it but sure could be. The housewrap could work.it said meets code for air infiltration for it. Cant cost that much to try it. And if the basement is dry all the time . Give it a try. I would feel up in the insulation every now and then to see that there is no moisture in it
