I wanted to find out the best way to hang pictures and a mirror on an exposed brick (interior) wall.

Any suggestions? Should I drill pilot holes in the bricks? the mortar?

Not sure what kind of brick.

This is a 90 year old rowhouse with brick walls on both sides of the house and I removed the plaster from one of the walls.
