Found a new one. This one is really cool, because it's a plan search engine. Punch in what you want a plan for and hit search, and it will give you all sorts of options. Real easy to navigate, but not all of the plans are free on this site. It tells you which ones are and aren't free.

Composting is an environmentally smart way to put household waste to use. If you choose to keep it simple, it can be no more than piling stuff that will rot, and waiting for it to ferment.

But if you are motivated to create a neat, efficient and green alternative to trash, a home compost bin is the way to go.

First, choose a site that's level and shady, with good drainage and easy access to wheelbarrows, garden paths, and hose hookups. Let us help you choose the "features" of your low-tech green machine.

For instance, there's no need for a top; moisture speeds decomposition. And any feature that adds aeration speeds the decomposition process. If you build the bin of wood, cedar or cypress are best for resisting the decaying effect.

Here's a great idea for the organization and care of your power tools. It's plans for a modest power tool cabinet designed to accommodate as much as a circular saw, two drills, a finishing and belt sander, a router, a jigsaw and all their accessories.

With extra- deep adjustable shelves of three different widths, this versatile cabinet accommodates changing tool collections and tools of various sizes, including those that may come with carrying cases. The doors not only keep out dust and dirt, they also make it possible to lock or otherwise childproof the cabinet.

When you learn how to cut and mill the cabinet body parts, you'll get a tip on installing shelf standards by using long- nose pliers to grasp the nails while you tack them. When you learn how to assemble the cabinet body, you'll be reminded to verify that the cabinet is square with corner-to-corner measurements.

I love building things and am always looking for woodworking plans. Problem is most of them charge a fee per plan, I know I am cheap. I was very excited the other day when I found a site that list a bunch of plans for free. If anyone else knows of a good site that offers a lot of plans I would greatly appreciate seeing the links. So would my wife as she is tired of me spending so much time on the computer looking around for these plans.
