I was planning on taking the old wallpaper in one of my bathrooms off then texturizing, then painting. I was at the local Lowes today and found a paintable, textured wallpaper that you can paint...has anyone used this? I heard its really fragile when its wet but thats all. ...any help would be appreciated....

I've hung a lot of it. I didn't think it was very fragile at all. Hung good, looked good.

One tip, I don't dip prepasted in water, I glue it by hand. That may be why it didn't become fragile. Plus the glue supplied by the manufacturer on those papers I found to be less than adequate. I definitely wouldn't trust it to hold up in a bathroom without handpasting.

I am currently working with this stuff. I am putting it on a ceiling. Any helpful hints? I think the idea of pasting this stuff first might work pretty well. I am having problems with the edges not sticking tight. Like there is no glue there or something.

Roll a coat of heavy duty clear adhesive on the ceiling, a little bigger than the piece to be hung. Give it about 5-10 minutes to tack up, and glue the piece of wallpaper. Don't dip it in water, glue it with a paint roller. Then hang it. The glue on the ceiling will hold it up nicely.
