Can anyone tell me how to dye 2 mauve wing back valour chairs? I just love them and can't part with. I want them a dark chocolate.

i've moved your question to the Uphostery forum, where someone better qualified than me might be able to help you! i know it's extremely expensive to have chairs reuphostered, so hopefully you'll be able to dye yours successfully and save a bunch of money! it's certainly worth a shot!

Heres a thought try auto appolstery dye I found mine @ C Tire and changed a white stool in my kids room to a demin blue. It was a spray can and as easy as spray painting just remember light coats.

Better watch out with those dyes, on older furniture. it there our soild spots they will dye darker. So it not a good idea. if it has scotguarded it will not dye correctly.polyester will not dye. only cotton products.
