We replaced out old Amanda bottom freezer with a KitchenAide bottom freezer counterdepth model. Now the only problem is when you open the door, the fridge sort of moves out a bit since it has wheels on the bottom. Is there any way to lock the wheels or stop it from moving out when we pull on the door? The manual doesnt mention anything like this.

Thanks :)

Hi: Carz n Compz

Some wheeled models have a bolt on each wheel which can adjusted to lock it inplace. May not be mentioned in the owners manual. A visual inspection of a wheel may be required.

Another post in this forum member asked the same question. Must have gotten the correct info and solved that problem.

If there are none, may have to improvise a solution. Wheel stops on front wheels may be one solution. 90 degree angle iron bolted to the floor in front of appliance wheels behind it may also solve that problem.

Angle iron need not be a full length bar. Just two pieces as wide as the width of the wheel may work. Being that small may not be noticeable if wheels are currently visable.

Might be alternate solutions offered by other members. Check back again.
