Hello: Rock

Usually that condition does not remain around for very long. A good interior cleaning with baking soda and soapy water should correct the condition. If not perfectly, better than existing.

Might try cooking another food dish that contains strong smelling herbs and spices. May mask the problem or clear it up...:)

Hi Rock,
another trick that works for firiges and micros,

wet a couple sheets of newspaper and place in or on your glass turntable or pan inside the microwave. DO NOT TURN ON THE MICROWAVE...JUST LET SIT FOR 24 HOURS, THEN REMOVE PAPER, ODOR SHOULD DISSIPATE.

Going along with the baking soda route, a great way to clean and remove odors from a microwave is to fill a mug with water and add baking soda to it (a few table spoons should do it). Then microwave it for about 5 minutes and then let sit in the microwave without opening for about 10 minutes.

The steam created from this allows the baking soda to do its thing. Works great for general cleaning of the microwave also.
