hi everyone i am new to this site and would like your input on something i am doing/going to do.

does anyone know if a popcorn ceiling and painted wood paneling look good together. already installed new sheetrock on the ceiling and i already have wood paneling on the walls thanks to the previous owner. i am going to paint the panels and thought about a popcorn ceiling but my wife says that would not look good together. has anyone here ever saw a popcorn ceiling with painted woodpanel walls?????

or think it would look good together???

All I can tell you is that in my 14 years as a drywaller I have removed a lot more popcorn then I have put on. I don't like it. I would go with knockdown texture.

I DO NOT ever put on popcorn except strictly as a patch situation & even then I always try to talk myself into reno the entire lid with a splatter or knock-down texture.

Popcorn attracts dirt & cobwebs like a magnet to steel & anytime you try to clean it you end up with a bigger mess on the floor & a ceiling that's still dirty.
