Half of our lot is partially wooded and we'd like to clear some of it out and extend our yard into it. Among the smaller trees that I'd be cutting down, there are 3 medium sized pine trees I want to get rid of. I can cut them down with no problem, but I'm not sure what to do with them after they are down. What is the most economical way to dispose of them?
Would tree removal services just haul away the trees for me for a reasonable price? Can I rent one of those huge dumpster bins and cut them down to size and throw them in there to have them hauled off? Just wondering what all my options are. I don't really have any use for the wood itself as firewood or mulch or anything, I really just want them removed.

why not just rent a mulcher and start a compost pile? after it is cooked you could spread ot out over your yard. or you could call local tree/ landscape companies for a free quote on removal.
you also could ask your nieghbors if they need the firewood or mulch. free if they haul off.
