TV: SHARP 32" AV IN(3 inputs) 1 component input , 1 Svideo and a standard coaxial input.
Hometheatre : amphion 150WATT
VCR : DAEWOOD HIFI
Hi, Im trying to run my Surround sound through my television, The surround sound system works fine when watching DVD's or playing video games on it, but when i try to watch TV using an antenna It gets all "snowy" and the channel comes in horrible, I can have the Surround sound plugged in and have the speaker wires unplugged and the picture will be fine again but as soon as i plug in just one speaker wire on any input it gets all snowy and the picture gets bad. Any suggestions for sheilding? or alternate ways to do this? The same thing happens on my other TV with a different brand of surround sound. WHenever the surround sound system is active the picture gets snowy, when its off the picture is fine. =/

I can't imagine what would be causing that. What are the exact model numbers of your surround sound equipment? Is the antenna plugged directly into the tv, or is the cablign routed somewhere esle before it reaches the tv? Any splitters? How are your speaker wires routed?

ok, I found out the problem, I moved the antenna outside and now the reception is great...no interference at all. It didnt like the antenna within 5 feet of the surround sound system. now it seems fine. Thanks!
