I have decided to paint my factory painted doors with BM waterbourne Impervo. I noticed that the doors powder really well when I sand them but some color does come off with alcohol. I also painted a patch with latex and it seemed OK. I don't know what factory painted doors are usually painted with but I should be OK with latex, right?

Yeah, latex works just fine on preprimed doors. I prefer to prime them myself too, but I don't think its absolutely necessary.
