I have a rust spot on the refrig. where the door seal rests. The seal sticks to the rust which is getting bigger.

What kind of paint will seal this & dry fast enough so I dont need to empty the food.

Thanks

Hello: GiantScale

Not an easy task to accomplish where the work has to be done. The entire surface requires all the rust to be removed. Than the area be rust proofed with a primer.

Than painted with an appliance quality paint. Wall paint will not work. No paint will remain if the rust remains and no paint will adhere without an undercoating.

Wait till the amount of food is far less. Remove what is left and put in a camping cooler chest with ice. Samd the are and prime. Wait till primer dires and than cover coat with appliance paint.
