The evaporator coil in the freezer compartment of my frost-free refrigerator ices up over the period of about a month, preventing the refrigerator compartment from being cooled properly. Removing the back wall of the freezer compartment and thawing the evaporator coils with a hair dryer alleviates the problem, but it recurs in about one month. Before calling a repairman, I would like to diagnose the problem. The blower motor seems to be O. K. Could the problem result from a loss of coolant?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Hi ,
You may be having a defrost problem, that is there is a defrost timer, terminating thermostat, and defrost heater(s).
Most defrost timers are located in the front behind the kickplate or in the back behind the rear cover some are even located in the frig section at the back wall behind light sheild(lens cover)
You can turn the timer with a scredriver til it clicks at that point the heater in the freezer should come on to defrost the evaporator coils,I would look at the defrost items first.
