I am replacing the insulation in between the joists on my attic floor. I am using R-19, paper-faced batts. Do I install the insulation with the paper side facing down towards the living area, or up towards the roof.
If my batts are not long enough, and I have to use 2 pieces in the same section, do I butt the ends up against each other, or overlap them. The batts I'm using are 6.6" thick. The joists are 6" deep.
Your help and comments are appreciated.
