I made the stupid mistake of placing a Griptex Wonderliner shelf liner under a television sitting on a built-in wood bookcase. When I removed the liner, I see that the liner pattern has transferred to the wood with the weight of the television. The surface is rough and feels as if some of the rubbery liner has adhered to the wood finish.
Please...does anyone have suggestions on how to remove this without damaging my parents' beautiful bookshelf unit? (I could kick myself! :( )
Thanks,
Jan

Try using a paper towel moistened with Formby's furniture cleaner in an inconspicious place. If that gets the 'goop' off, go for it.:)
