I have a basement wine cellar that is about 50 SF. The cellar is under the entryway on the main floor which extends out from the house and has concrete walls on three sides. The fourth wall is insulated and separates the cellar from living space. Access is via an insulated door. Year round temperature in the unheated cellar is about 54 degrees F (Seattle). The "warm" side of the cellar is against the floor above.
I am about to shreetrock the ceiling of the cellar and would like to insulate between the joists so the entryway floor (above) is a bit warmer.
Should I use kraft faced insulation with the paper side hidden or use batts that don't have a vapor barrier? Or does it make any difference?
Thanks,
DavidJ

I think that I would put the paper side up to the floor above . As it would be the warm side and the room side ED;)
