Got an old stockade fence needing to be replaced. Can someone tell me the advantages and disadvantages of using the 8 foot metal poles instead of wood.

2 advantages are, less maintenance and termites....:)
Since holes have to be dug and or have to digout the existing posts, best to install metal posts at this time. Same amount of work without the above disadvantages.
