Back in the seventies/eighties, there used to be a product ( we simply called it a" solvent ") which acted as the perfect bonding agent for plexiglass. I believe it was made by the Rohm & Haas plexiglass Company. I have been trying for years, locally, to obtain a supply of this solvent/bonding agent, but all I get from local dealers is that very knowledgable blank stare. I seem to recall that there was no brand or trade name, as such on the plastic bottle but it used a needle injector/applicator ( allowing the user to place the liquid directly into the cracks in the broken plexiglass) and if my memory serves me correctly, it was marketed under the identification code MDC-GC25. During those years, we used it to repair plexiglass shields for fluorescent light fixtures. It would actually dissolve the plexiglass where it was applied, and you simply had to to ensure that the broken pieces made good contact with each other. Is there still such a product on the market, and if so, how would I obtain a small supply.
thanx in advance

I know exactly what you're talking about. A plexiglas fabricator or maybe a good crafts store should have this solvent. I found this site that has it:

Wow, that reply came faster than most utility bills. I checked out that website you suggested, and you were spot on. I have just placed an order through that website and it looks like not only has my question answered, but the item I enquired about should be shipped to me asap. Doityourself.com came through with flying colours, AGAIN. You're hard to beat !!!!
