past couple of jobs I've noticed a few hairline cracks exactly in the corners of new drywalled walls, the mud was completly dry and good primer was applied. Being winter I think that with the furnace running and the very warm air circulating while the primer was drying it dries to fast and caused this. What do you guys think??

I am inclined to agree about the rapid drying.

I would bet the primer was too thick in the corners and cracked because of the drying process.
My 2 cents.

Fast drying is a good possibility. How thick was the drywall mud in the corners? Mud cracks if it's put on too thick and dries too fast.

Had same thing happen to me at one time by spraying primer on too thick on corners
