I'm planning on painting my laminate countertops in my kitchen a new color. I understand that I need to clean them first, then prime and then paint. I was considering adding silver sparkles (glitter) to the countertop, is it possible to add this to the paint to the get the effect that I want or should I do this after I have applied the paint by sprinkling it on the countertop before I put the poly on? thanks

I would think you need to put this on after painting, but before its dry. And before the poly.

Unless you are using automotive paint in which metalflake can be suspended in the paint.
