My son was slamming that door and the mirror is broken ;-(
Any idea how to remove it safely? It is glued behind it to
the door.

Don't mess with the glass -- just replace the door.

The adhesive that is holding the mirror on the door is going to make the door unusable even if you do remove the mirror.

If you choose to put a new mirror on the new door, do it with mirror clips, NOT adhesive.
