What do you mean by 'air bubbles'?
And I can't help without knowing what you did.
You painted what, with what, on what?

Any drywall patches need to be sanded smooth and then primed before painting.
You should not have air bubbles from painting. Please describe further.

Usually from 2 things. Rolling too fast and using too thin of paint or both.
Patches showing thru.
Two finish coats should fix both problems.

Bubbles
Rolling too fast and using too thin of paint or both.
Sure do, but I've never seen them big enough to "make a mess when I squeeze them".

Sorry about not enough info. My huband started painting, he thought that i had finished sanding and wiping down walls. these paint or air bubbles started showing up all over the wal, some as large as a quarter. when i pushed them in, the bubbles ended up with the outer edge of the bubble becoming smeared. should i continue to paint over the bubbles with a second coat?
re: the sanding of the wall, i confess, i over sanded and now I can see all the areas that i sanded. I tried two coats of dark paint but the areas on the walls still show through, they look like patches, due to my oversanding.I will try just about anything to fix these problems. i'm so close to finishing this room and do not want to look at mud and paint for a long time.
thank you in advance,

is a problem. As you know, dust will cause the paint to do silly things. Actually other than washing the walls with TSP and getting them clean, I don't know what to do about the bubble marks left behind.
The darker the color the worse the coverage, at least in my experience. Two finish coats assumes the first coat was good. I think the problem you are having with the patch spots is called "photographing".
I would contact your paint retailer and ask them what would be best. They are probably going to tell you to prime and then finish coat(s).
