Our downstairs bathroom has one of those drop ceilings in it with the grid system and the panels that lay on the grid. The panels need replacing due to stains from prior water damage. How difficult are they to replace? Our contractor wants to charge us $360 to do that part of the job! My husband says he can save us that portion (maybe) by doing it himself. Any thoughts on this? By the way, there is a fan/heat lamp in one of the panels.

Thanks for any help!:)

The panels just sit on the grid. No problem to change them yourself. Might have to trim them up a bit to fit. Don't touch the heat lamp.
