What are possible causes of intermittent open/close response of 5 disk cd drawer when open/close button is pressed on RCA Model RS2518 mini stereo system? Displays "Error". All other functions correct.

It could be a logics problem in the control board. In which case, i don;t know how to fix. Most of these units are built disposable these days. But about your problem, don;t hold me to it. It was just a brief diagnosis of you problem from the limited description you gave.
