I am getting ready to purchase about 400 sq feet of laminate flooring. The best deal I've found is with Mohawk from Floorshop.com. I'm looking to purchase their laurel creek for $2.35 per sq ft. I chose the Mohawk because I can pick the product up locally and not pay shipping. What kind of reputation does Floorshop.com have? Is this deal to good to be true?

I've dealth with floorshop.com a year ago when I purchased 1100 sq ft of Harris Tarkett Engineered Hardwood longstrips.
I bought them for $2.75/sq ft; about 1/2 the price of retail.
The catch was that I had to buy in bulk(250 sq ft pallet) and some have minor defects. I bought 5 pallets, about 12% extra. I used up all the good ones and still had a few planks left.

Anyways, what attracted me was a free trucking thru Yellow Freight as well as the savings. However, I suggest you pay a visit to a local retailer to actually check out the sample of the one you're planning to buy. Then, make a decision.

I just ordered about 1,900 sq ft of Columbia laminate. Expecting delivery tomorrow - so far so good. They've kept me up to date on the delivery status.

Their price was about half of what the local retailers wanted. Had it been engineered wood or hardwood product I probably would have purchased from a local retailer, but with laminate there is no variation in the product so I decided to order online.

while the local retailer loses the business cause you use em, and the salesperson loses an up (chance to sell)

I hope you told em your intentions when you entered the store.
or at least gave em the chance to match the price.

I bought ~1100 sqft of Laminate from them and they were quick with answers & packing was top notch. I'd do business with them again.
