I have a wood floor that has lost it shine. Can I do a lite sand and put 2 coats of water base or oil base urethane. The finish is oil base now, could I put a water base finish over the oil base finish. Thanks Bob

Has water and oil ever been a good mix?

I would suggest, a light sand with a sand sponge. You can get them at H.Depot, and just about everywhere else. Then re-apply your finish. Should help bring your shine back out.

The wood flooring department might be a better place for help on this topic.

You can use water base over oil.Make sure you screen(60grit) really good before the first coat and then screen between each coat!!
