I currently have a cast iron bathtub that runs the complete width of my wall. My bathroom is the width of the tub and 9' deep (5' x 9').
Can I replace the bathtub with another cast iron bathtub without knocking out walls?
I know I can get the old one out with a sledge hammer. I just need to know if a new one can be put in place. The bathroom would be completely empty of sink and toilet.

Have you considered having it professionally resurfaced instead of replacing it? It would be a whole lot less work, and less expensive. Check the Yellow Pages.
