we are laying wood pergo laminate in our kitchen and was wanting to know what to put under the frig, dishwasher, and stove. do they sit directly on the sub floor or do you put plywood underneath them to get them to same height as wood laminate?

If the stove is freestanding, lay your flooring in the space where it will go. It's true that the stove will hide the flooring, but it's easier than trying to find something that will match the flooring thickness.
Same for the 'fridge. If it's on the flooring, it's easy to roll out when you need to.
I don't put flooring under the dishwasher since it's a narrower space (24") and usually under the counter top. You'll also want to make sure that when the floor is laid, you can get the dishwasher out if you need to.

Dave, thanks for the quick reply......For my own clarification...even if it's a "floating floor" we still are able to put the appliances on top of it? The fridge won't be too heavy?

Install floating floor under the fridge ONLY for the reason you state, it must move easily for cleaning. Appliances that are Under counter tops need no additional floor and in fact moisture risk is high.

I did my kitchen in Pergo about five years ago. The fridge isn't causing any problems.
Revising my earlier post, you could forgo the laminate under the stove as well. Just be careful sliding it in or out so you don't chip the edge of the laminate.
I also have Pergo in my home office (kids old bedroom). A large desk and a well loaded bookcase aren't bothering the floor, either.

A good bead of silicone at the edge of the planks is especially valuable in the kitchen and most important in front sinks, dish washers etc. The bead of silicone will also protect the edges of the planks from chipping.
