I need help. On the bottom of my bathtub according to the landlord the top layer of the tub is coming off exposeing the tub it self leaveing a blue streak all the way from the back to the drain of the tub. Both my sister and i have the same problem with our tubs and we both experience a rash and redness and soreness after takeing a bath from slideing around on the tub. Is this ok that it is like this or should we be concerned about the tubs suface on our skins?

first off, i'm assuming this is a legitimate question, and you're not just being funny. secondly, i don't know any other way to phrase this, so if it comes off harsh, i apologize:
if the surface on the bottom of your tub is so rough that it's leaving your skin red & sore, then common sense should tell you that no, it is not okay! for heaven's sake, buy a rubber tub mat! or ask your landlord to have the old tub refinished or replaced.

I think I'll let the plumbers handle this one.

I would assume if serious post that they're sitting on fiberglass which is causing the irritation.
Time to replace the tub.
