Hey guys. Persused the forum but could not find answer to my question. I have purchased Witex LocTec Country Comfort (1000 sft). I will be installing this after I pull up old carpet. Will be installed in living room, hallway and 3 bedrooms. My question is when I go from living room to hallway, how can I do this without putting in a transition piece? Hall entryway is 4" wide and planks are 7-9/16". If I start in living room and rip plank to 4" wide (flush with hallway wall), how can I attach this to run of planks in hallway? Planks will be running parallel to hallway. Hopefully I've phrased this in a coherent manner. Many thanks for all who reply.

Bad news Will, No transition, no warrantee! Sorry but that's the truth, your warrantee will be useless and your floor will most likely buckle.
There are moldings other than a laminate Tee that will accomplish the float needed for expansion but the expansion room must be provided.

Thanks for your prompt reply. What other types of molding can I use for transition?
