I am desiring to change my black entertainment center into a stone-like/faux/knockdown finish. I want to paint it in a neutral color like beige or off white. If someone could please tell me where to start and what materials I would need to complete this task I would greatly appreciate it. This is a summer project for me.

For painting faux finishes, some great resources are found through www.paintedhouse.com (http://www.paintedhouse.com) or in decorating books written by Debbie Travis. She tells how to do it all and what materials you need. Good luck.
