Not sure if this should be in plumbing or Bathrooms. But my problem is when we flush my basemnet toilet a couple of seconds later we hear this loud noise coming from the pipes, One said we have air in the lines but I have no Idea how to get rid of this. I donot know how old this toilet is for we just moved in ( November ). This noise goes through the whole house.

Thanks

There actually is a separate"Toilets" forum now with the new changes that this site just implemented, but this will do. Your problem has an easy fix.
A failing toilet tank water inlet valve assembly can make loud, weird noises..sometimes almost like an elephant.
Solution: Replace the tank water valve with a Fluidmaster 400A float-cup type (about $7 bucks).
Just follow the directions that come with it. Easy. If you need any help, just come back on this same thread and ask. We'll be glad to help you.
Good Luck!
