I recently bought a 1920 house and i am planning on finishing the basement and i learned that the house had moisture problems in the basement and had mold growth in some areas but the last owner had the mold removed by a proffesional company. To prevent this from happening again I added extensions to the downspout in the gutters, i'm adding a 2 1/2 in. deep and 2 ft. wide concrete slab with a slope around the foundation to keep any water from going in, on the inside of the basement i fill the cracks on the concrete block wall and added a waterproof sealer to the walls and floors. is there anything else i can do to keep moisture out. and how do i know when is safe to start framing the walls.

Id hold off for a year here and see what happens. You might still have to put a sump pump in the basement to keep it dry;) ED
