I have two bathrooms. The medicine cabinets are installed so that the backs of the cabinets touch each other inside the wall. The cabinets are both 4" deep while the framing is 2x6. So, when one cabinet is installed flush with the wall, the other sticks out from the wall face a couple of inches. The cabinets are new and came with the house. I tried to exchange them, but the builder's rep said "we've used these same cabinets for years". I would like some "inexpensive", yet nice looking, ideas on solving this problem. TIA for your time.

I would make two wood frames to fur the medicine cabinets out, then install the medicine cabinets. The frames can be painted to match the walls.

Another option would be to move one of the medicine cabinets to another stud cavity. Then they would fit flush.
