I heard you can dye leather furniture. I have to recliners that were originally beige, but the color is wearing off and they look dirty. I would like to try dying them a taupe color. Does anyone know how?

First of all, are you sure they are leather. Vinyl is very popular and this can not be dyed. Also, it may be leather on everywhere you touch but it may be vinyl on the sides and back. Make sure you know before you ruin them.

You can dye your leather furniture, depending on the orignal leather finish. I have done this with great results, changing a hunter green sofa to a burnished brown, using 2 different colors. Check out Leather World Technologies at www.leatherworldtech.com.
