Strictly my opinion, but either replace the tub or have it refinished. I've yet to talk to ANYBODY that is happy with an insert!!

The new tub we purchased has a hole/crack in it. We did a quick repair of sorts with duct tape! The manufacturer sent us a tub insert at no charge but we don't think we want to go this way but on the other hand don't want to have to pull the tub out. Not sure if we even can pull the surround out??? What a mess. I'm begining to think the duct tape looks pretty darn good-lol! But seriously, what else can we do? The duct tape is actually doing the job! Now if they only made duct tape in the color of biscuit!

This is a Lyons acrylic tub. The man that delivered our insert said it is the about the 6th insert in the area he has delivered. I would say there is a problem with the tub, wouldn't you? What to do, what to do......

There should be acrylic tub repair kits that will make this repair I would think instead of a insert.

Hrmmmm biscuit duct tape. Note to self, design biscuit colored duct tape and sell to Lyons, and make $$$!! LOL

For a hole or crack that came when the new tub was delivered, the mfgr. should repair it, no problem. I had a shower stall delivered about a week before Christmas that had a crack in it. The mfgr. cut a work order and had a local company and it was fixed about a week into the new year.
