I would first like to thank everyone at all doityourself.com forums for all their help in answering my questions on finishing my basement. I have finised everything except the bathroom and am taking on the challenge of that as well.

Question: I am going to install a stand-up shower in my basement bathroom. I was told by my plumber that the Sterling (Kohler) brand is the best when it comes to shower bases, for the price(Installation, durability, etc). First, I need a 3 piece (3 wall) + 1 base style. Space constraints to bring it downstairs and all. The problem is that the Sterling brand only offers a 34 x 48 4 piece. Would work but almost to big. They, Sterling, does have a 36 x 36 but it has only 2 walls, +1 base and you have to put up 2 glass doors. Don't want that. Also don't want to built walls and tile as a solution either.

What other brands do you recommend that have a strong base, easy to install, durable, etc. that is a 36 x 36 and is 4 piece (3 walls + 1 base? I saw the Durawall brand at HD but they look cheap.

Thanks again everyone.

Pat

I think Swanstone looks nice. You buy the shower floor and walls separately to mix and match any size. Get the swanstone finish, not the cheaper line.
