I am trying to figure out how to make a repair to a hole that is on the exterior of my home in the middle of the vinyl moding around a large picture window. I have been told that there is nothing that can be done, other than replacing the entire window, but there must be something that I can do to fix it, even if only temporary. Please help me!

Use a silicone caulking, this comes in different colors including clear. You might have to put a patch first if the hole is to large. Try using screen like in your window screen.
