I'm going to do a tile countertop with granite tiles. Base will be 5/8 ply plus 1/4 inch backer then tile. All this will look like crap at the edge of course.
I'd like to attach a wood trim maybe, but screwing/nailing into the end of ply doesn't seem the best idea. I know a lot of you have done these. What's the best solution?

Nails and a good carpenters glue will hold it for many years.
