Getting ready to lay down ceramic tile in a hallway, and have a question. I have a small area that I need to level with leveling compound. Do I level before the backer board, or put the backer down then level? If it matters, the compund will run from around 1/4" thick to a feather edge.
Thanks!

Level the floor first. Let your leveling compound dry and then put your backer board over a coat of thinset.
