What is the best way to remove tile adhesive (TEC's, "Superflex" in this case) that has dried on the surface of floor tile?
Granted, the adhesive should have been removed when still water soluable...However, its too late now since there are places where it's dried on the surface.
There are not a huge amount of places that have glue on the tile face but enough that it needs to be taken off before grouting.
I'm open to any suggestions.

I must have missed the responses to my first question......
A second question.......Is there a chemical solution (other than acid) that might remove the adhesive? I am ready to grout the tiles but want to remove any small amounts of adhesive on the tile face before grouting......
HELP????

For a latex modified thinset you may need acid. That stuff is pretty hard to remove. Are the spots very big? Maybe a stiff plastic scraper.

I was pleased to find that by applying good old water, the small amounts of adhesive loosened enough to be removed rather easily. I tried scraping it off with a plastic scraper and found it would only dull the scraper, not removing the entire adhesive spot. I then applied the water and it came right off.
Whooppee!
Thanks for the response. The tile has been cleaned and grouted and the project now completed.
