Ok, I have a really silly question but here goes
I just bought this house in Dec.............the master bathroom has ugly yellow tile with horrible old yuky grout.
this is my question.............can i remove the old grout without worrying that the tile will fall off the wall and then re grout?
thanks

Most hardware stores that carry ceramic tile will have a couple different grout saws. I suggest you get the one with the biggest fattest handle they have. At one time I bought the one with the small handle, it had less control than the one with the big handle, and I recieved many blisters from the small one. (it is a hand tool, not power, they are less than fifteen bucks)

That little tool will plow through the grout pretty well. Only take out about half of the grout that is there now. Wear gloves, your hands will thank you later.
there is a grout saw attachment for a sawzall but it can power itself through a wall if your not careful. I use the hand tool with no problem.

ok , removing grout is not my favorite thing so what I have finally decided to do is this: take all the yuky yellow tile out of the bathroom.
here is my question: what do i need to use to take the old tile off the walls? what tools.................once i know this i will probably end up at home depot shopping again...............
thanks
