I would like to install an air filtration system into my home. I have a baseboard heating system that is working fine and I would like to keep it. I downloaded HVAC-calc and have worked out the heat gain and duct size in the house room by room. I want to use a variable speed air handler that AC can be added to later. With measurements in hand I went to Home Depot, Lowes etc. and couldn't find HVAC supplies. Where should I go now?

i dont think any home owner should be able to buy hvac supplies on their own 1 the epa has regulated freon and you need to be certified to buy this the other just by checking the calc it still should be checked by a contractor for placement of returns and supply's and so forth is this in an attic or basement if attic secondary drain pan needs put in for the unexpected and the proper run size remember there are so many different cicumstances here consult with your contractor please... visit our web site for tips www.nebsnow.com/globalmechanics (http://www.nebsnow.com/globalmechanics) or e-mail me globalmechanics@aol.com

Hi:GaryL
What your about to attempt to do is actually install a complete heating and A/C forced air system, complete with air filtration system but without the heater.
That's a rather complex doityourself project. Everything you install has to be correct both for now and any future addition.
Using a variable speed air handler with an air filtration will not work well in this type setup. Adding A/C later will mean the variable speed fan will have to be removed.
However, if you have the skills and ALL the correct information, the items your seeking can be found at any COMMERICAL heating supply retailer.
Good Luck,
