I'm going to be starting on this bed soon:

I'd like tips on how to make it possible to break the bed down into smaller parts for moving. I think the current size would be too big to fit down our stairs.

Maybe you can look at the plan and give me some tips.

The way they designed and built that bed, it doesn't get much easier than what theyve given you.

maybe I should specify that what I'm looking for is a fastening system that will allow me to easily disassemble the bed for transportation when needed.

maybe bolting or T-nuts or something similar.

I personally could make the whole bed and screw it all together; to where you wouldnt see any screws at all. What tools/machinery, do you have?

Fasteners such as these may be what you want.

I just thought I'd update with what I ended up doing here.

I used T-nuts and bolts in a few strategic hidden locations. The bed will now break down into 4 pieces if I ever need to move it out of the room and down our stairs.
