I have aluminum triple track storm windows. The "felt" insulation between window and track, and top window and bottom window needs replacement. Where can I buy, and how do I insert it?
It appears that there is a "T" groove that holds the insulation; the narrow part of the "T", facing the mating surface is 1/8" wide. It looks like I need lengths of insulation with a "T" cross section. Do not know window manufacturer.

It is called "pile" and can be gotten at some glass shops. Bring a sample since the width of the backing and the height of the pile are needed. The pile is inserted before the window is assembled but you might be able to insert one edge and then work the other edge in with a putty knife or thin screwdriver.

Jobnam,
Thank's. But, I'm not sure what you mean by "glass shop". I'm in the Philadelphia suburbs.

Look in the Yellow Pages under "Glass-Automobile, Plate, Window, Etc.-Dlrs."
