i'm preparing to replace my existing bathroom floor, parts of the walls, and the tub surround with marble tiles. i have tiled before and feel pretty comfortable about this project. however, i am a bit worried that marble is going to pose some problems. am i right to have these pre-project jitters? is there any special preparation i need to do to the floor or walls to ensure the marble holds? finally, what is the spacing for marble tiles and do i need to worry about water seepage?

thanks for your help!

Marble is heavy, make sure your got to make sure you're subfloor is stiff enough to handle a marble install. I caulk the corners and make sure the grout is sealed & allowed to thoroughally dry prior to use.
Spacing is dependant upon size of the tiles. Good luck!

I would recommend a small grout line, !/8" or less so you can use an unsanded grout. Sanded grout can scratch marble tile.
