i just finished my kitchen project... woohoo... last thing is to grout the floor (and granite counter, but the shop will do that).

i installed a somewhat dark gray colored porcelin tile, that's made to look like slate. i bought darkish gray grout mix to match the color of the tiles. but i'm wondering, if the grout and tiles are too close in color, would i just end up with a big grayish floor?

i took some picture of the floor, which showed the ungrouted white edges and it looked nice to see the outlines... should i choose a slightly lighter grout? like a light gray?

i know these are all judgement calls, but i would like to hear some general concensus... do you have some pictures to point me to?

thanks.
