Hi,

I have built a billiard room that consist of Oak plywood for the walls, red birch for the floor and all the trim for the walls and bar are made from poplar and oak. The heat is a forced hot air, no humidifier on it. I have the temperature set to 67 degrees. Now here the question: What should I keep the humidity at so all the wood doesn’t dry out? Any idea would help.

Thanks
Ron

You just answered your own question. :) I wouldn't put too much, but I wouldn't make it dry in there. Your best bet would be to direct your question to the HVAC Forum. They know the levels things should be at,

I believe that residential humidity level should be 55%, but check over in the HVAC Forum as suggested by Furniture Bldr for an expert's advice.

A hygrometer is needed to accurately tell you what the humidity level is. Otherwise, it is like licking your finger and holding it up in the air to test the wind speed. Household humidity should be somewhere between 30-55%. If below 30%, humidify. If above 55%, dehumidify.
