If there are any of you interested in learning how to make Pens, pencils, letter openers, perfume optominizers, etc. let me know. You will need a lathe and the proper lathe tools to make them. You can use a mini lathe for pen making too. It's a lot of fun and everyone especially loves the pens. They resemble the Mont Blanc Pens. I typically make them as thank you presents for my clientele. I've also sold over 100 pens. Go to this site "Wood Craft" and you'll see an example of what I'm talking about.

I always see them in my Woodcraft catalog. They do look cool to make.

The cost factors involved in the blank, can average about $6.00 per blank, unless you make a blank out of a normal piece of wood. The pen kits are about $6.00 too.
I charge about $ 60.00 a pen which comes with a velvet case. It takes me on average of about 45 mins to make one. My shop labor rate is about $50.00 an hour. You'll need to buy different bushings for each style of whatever you do, pens, pencils, etc. They marketed well and can become costly if you do too many different things.
