My husband and I started an ambitious kitchen ceramic tile job. I must admit he's done most of the work including 3 (yes 3) layers of vinyl flooring with plywood in between, no less! Crazy prior homeowners...
Anyway, here's my question since it looks like I'll be picking up the installation myself. How much wait time is required between applying the tile and adhesive and beginning the grout time. I know I have to wait a week after grouting to seal, but I not sure about the in between step.
Any help will be appreciated.

Give it a day.

I usually give the tile 24 hrs before grouting. That gives the thinset time to set up.

Thanks for the advice. In my rush to return my kitchen to normal I probably would have grouted the same day.

I've done grout on the same day, but only in the summer when it's hot and I finished setting tile early in the morning. By late afternoon, you can work it if you're careful
